On the fourth day of our visit to South Korea, we travelled from Seoul to Pusan. As soon as we arrive in the city, we were brought to a turkish restaurant to have our lunch. For me the food were delicious *alhamdulillah* as I love to try food from various countries. But I'm quite dissapointed for not being able to try Korean food because there's no halal Korean restaurants nearby our visiting places. After we check in to the hotel, we toured the city of Pusan.

On the third day of our visit to Seoul, we visited Seoul National University (SNU). There, we were being welcomed by one of the staff representative and given an introduction and welcome speech. Then, we were led to several laboratories, mainly in the Faculty of Civil Engineering. I am impressed by the laboratories in that university. They are equiped with up-to-date or modern equipments and machines and the labs were very clean and tidy compared to those in Malaysia.

At night, some of my friends and I, accompanied by one of our lecturers went to Youeido Island. We went there by the MRT and took some photos near the river under the bridge. We then took a bus back to the hotel.

At the end of April this year, I joined one of the Global Outreach Program organised by the Faculty of Civil Engineering. There are 28 participants all together, including two lecturers and one Tabung Haji Travels agent. We went to South Korea (Seoul and Pusan) for nine days and eight nights. It was an amazing trip where we learned new things and exposed ourselves to different culture and lifestyle. As usual, I snapped as many photos as I can, particularly those that present the culture and lifestyle of the people in South Korea as well as the architecture and design of the buildings.

Since day 1 was just our trip from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia to Kuala Lumpur International Airport and then Seoul International Airport, I decided to start from the second day where we arrive at Seoul. From Seoul International Airport, we boarded a tour bus led by Alex, the Korean tour guide. We pass by the Presidential Blue House and visited several cultural places such as Gyeongbok Palace, National Folk Museum and Itaewon.

Assalamualaikum

This mosque is located at Senai, Johor near the Senai Airport. It was still new during my visit, probably completed early 2010. This unique mosque is different compared to other typical mosques in Johor, I mean in terms of the architectural design. It presents a more modern look, but still has a dome on it (almost all mosque design in Malaysia have a dome). The interior of the mosque is full of carvings, mainly carvings of Arabic words, Quranic verses, as well as other Islamic symbols and patterns.

After visiting the botanical garden in Malacca, I visited several historical attractions around the city. Here are some photos that I snapped during my visit to Malacca.

Malacca is known to be a historical state. It has been listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008. Some of the popular historical attractions in Malacca are the A'Famosa, Christ Church, Stadhuys, Jonker Street, Portuguese Square, etc. Besides the main istorical attractions, it has other attractions such as the Malacca Zoo and Botanical Garden. I visited the botanical garden for the first time in August 2009. There are many flowers and plants species grown in the garden. I took some close-up photos of several beautiful flowers.
