Salam and Hi!

Nowadays, it is quite easy to find halal Chinese cuisine, especially in Kuala Lumpur. However, it is not so easy to find halal dim sum. Since my mum is a fan of dim sum and Chinese cuisine, I treated her and the whole family for a Chinese lunch, on Mother's Day (a good reason to treat mum and get together with the whole family)...Alhamdulillah.

So, we had our lunch at Restoran Siang, located in SOGO Kuala Lumpur. We ordered a set of food for 4 person from the Set Menu and several dim sum dishes. While waiting for our food, we were served Jasmine Chinese Tea and peanuts, as we had ordered.

After we finished our dim sum, we were served our lunch set which consists of steamed rice, and seven other dishes, including soup of the day as starter as well as desserts.

All the food were satisfactorily delicious and affordable, Alhamdulillah. And I am glad that my mum loves the food there. She even suggested to eat there again some other time.

Hi! Since it's end of the year now, we should expect the raining season till early of next year. So, my travelling activities slowed down too. But, don't forget...I am still and always a food lover. There's no reason not to find  food in this rainy season.

Alright, durian lovers out there....have you heard of durian crepe? It is very popular nowadays as many people are talking about it. So, as an adventurous food lover, I will not let myself be left behind the rumours. I tried my best to get the crepe to have a taste of it...and guess what? It was delicious! I mean for those who like durian. I am not sure for those who don't like it. But you should always give a try =)

So, here are some photos I snapped of the durian crepe. For your info, the crepe has soft and smooth surface with real durian flesh and fresh cream for the filling. It is best to enjoy it when it's cold.

Oh, before I forget, I bought these from Sumptuous Desserts in Mid Valley Megamall and might buy some more when I go shopping there again next time, InsyaAllah.

Hi! This week I went out with my friends. It felt like ages since the last time we went out together...blame it on the piling workload. Anyway, this time we decided to try out a new cafe at KLCC. It was the Charlie Brown Cafe! This cafe is the second Charlie Brown Cafe in Malaysia, after Penang. 

What's so special about this cafe? It's a kind of themed cafe, featuring Charlie, Snoopy and friends. Have you ever watched the cartoon series? I think it was quite popular back then, but I'm not sure about it now. Since it's a themed cafe, the interior and exterior design, including the furnishing of the cafe features Charlie and friends.

Overall, the dining experience is good...Alhamdulillah. The interior, exterior and furnishings are perfect. However, the food on the menu can be further improved. Anyway, you should try dining at this cafe to experience it yourselves. It is more recommended for families with children and those who opt for casual dining.

I really love baking but I don't really have the time. As a result of my determination, I baked several chocolate cakes successfully for my Aidilfitri open house and office. Can it be considered baking? Actually I don't bake the cakes, but more to cooking because this type of cake does not require baking. I only mix, cook and refrigerate. So, here are some photos throughout the process. By the way, there's no photos of the completed products, which is the cake as it was finished before I could snap the photos. Also, sorry for those who wanted to order the cake, I really don't have time to bake them.
